Your resume, reviewed like your best code.

Betterleaf is an AI resume editor for software engineers. It turns “worked on backend stuff” into what you owned, how you did it, and what changed, using numbers only you provide.

Built for how engineers actually work.

General resume tools don’t know the difference between a migration and a refactor. Betterleaf does, and it edits like a reviewer who has read a lot of both.

Rewrites bullets around impact

Every line is checked for scope, method and result. Where one is missing, Betterleaf asks you a short question instead of padding the sentence with adjectives.

Tailors to the job post

Paste a listing and see which requirements your resume already proves, which it only hints at, and which are missing. Reorder and rephrase without changing the facts.

Speaks your stack

It understands p95 versus p50, on-call load, blast radius, cold starts and cost per request, so your bullets sound like someone who was there.

One master resume, many versions

Keep everything you’ve done in one place. Spin off a version for each application and see exactly what differs, line by line.

Plain, parseable output

Single-column layout, real text, standard section names. Applicant tracking systems read it correctly, and so do people. Export to PDF or DOCX.

It asks. It doesn’t invent.

A resume with made-up metrics falls apart in the first interview. Betterleaf never fills in a number you didn’t give it. If it doesn’t know the before and after, it asks, and if you don’t know either, it writes the strongest honest version without them.

From rough draft to sendable in one sitting.

Questions engineers ask first.

Will it make up metrics?

No. Betterleaf only uses figures you give it. When a number is missing it asks, and you can leave it out. Anything you approximate is marked with a tilde so you remember to be ready to explain it.

Will my resume pass applicant tracking systems?

Templates use a single column, real selectable text and standard section headings, which is what parsers handle best. No tables, icons or text in images.

Does it work for roles outside backend and frontend?

Yes. ML, data, infrastructure, security, mobile and embedded each have their own vocabulary and kinds of impact, and the questions Betterleaf asks change to match.

What happens to my data?

Your resume is yours. You can export or delete it at any time. Add your privacy policy link here before launch.

I’m early in my career. Is this still useful?

Especially so. Internships, side projects and open-source work often have strong results that don’t get written down. Betterleaf helps you pull them out.
